Our L’amour Microdermabrasion facial in Sydney is designed to achieve deep exfoliating and tone-improving results on all skin types. This minimally-invasive resurfacing treatment is used to renew overall skin tone. We simultaneously exfoliate, clear blocked pores and remove any dead cells. This treatment vacuums away debris while very lightly exfoliating down the surface layer of skin.

Side Effects Of Micro-Dermabrasion

Microdermabrasion may leave behind some immediate mild tenderness, redness, sensitivity and swelling at the end of the initial treatment. But this usually clears up after a few hours.

At L’Amour, we follow up with a hydrating or soothing mask after resurfacing the skin’s surface, to help counteract any dryness or irritation. Additionally, we follow up with a hot aromatic towel to improve blood flow to the skin and relieve swelling. Along with high-quality, science-backed serums and moisturisers for soft, smooth and bright skin.

What To Expect After Your Treatment

We provide advice over tea after the treatment to help you look after your skin and prolong results. We strongly recommend no exercise, spa or sauna immediately after the treatment and avoiding direct sunlight for 24 hours as your skin will be more sensitive.

Post-microdermabrasion, we also recommend avoiding strong skin care products like glycolic acid, retinol, benzoyl peroxide and topical acne treatments. Use gentle hydrating products instead after the treatment and use sunscreen or products with SPF. We will also recommend any other products we think you need to also be wearing, based on your independent skin needs.

Multiple sessions are recommended to gain the best results.
